The Royal Life Saving Society – Australia (RLSSA) conducts the Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships annually, and in 2019 the competition is returning to Sydney for Royal Life Saving’s 125th anniversary in Australia.
The Championships are sanctioned by the International Life Saving Federation and require us to run events in deep (4m) water due to the equipment used during some speed events, including retrieval of manikins from the pool floor.
The event will be at Pymble Ladies College and the RLSSA have invited SSAC to provide scuba divers to assist with the movement and placement of equipment (water filled manikins) in the indoor, heated (~27'C) pool.
The competition runs from the 11th to the 13th of January, however, divers would only be required for the mornings of the 12th and 13th of January. They would work alongside our Equipment Coordinator and RLSSA would provide: Food and drink, parking, and any consumables that would be required for the job.
