Planned Dive - Coolooli (Christmas..!!) wreck dive, 7am SXD
The Coolooli is a bucket dredge that was sunk in August 1980 to form part of an artificial reef. The Coolooli lies on her side in 47m of water with the top at approx 30m. The wreck is still intact and a local favourite. As well as being a great wreck dive with lots of areas to swim into and around, the Coolooli has a profusion of colourful fish life (jewfish, kingfish and plenty of well-camouflaged bottom dwelling Wobbygong sharks) for those that are interested in such stuff..!! Dive suitable for 'experienced sports divers' and above. need to be comfortable diving to 40m, or be accompanied by an instructor if venturing to this depth for the first time.
As this will probably be SSAC's 'Christmas dive' entry conditional on diving with at least one piece of tinsel on your kit..!!
