As the big swells subsided, Paul, Hartley and Ben managed to squeeze a dive in on Easter Monday. The forecast showers failed to materialise and as the swell was so low, they were able to go in off the beach. This also let Ben test the new neoprene neck seal on his dry suit. The vis was nothing to write home about, but not a surprise given the recent big seas and it being ~3 hrs before high water. After ~40 min and about at the southeastern corner of the island, we turned around and drifted with the gentle incoming current under the bridge, enjoying the vibrant colors in the sun-filled shallows. After detangling from a fishing line, we exited in the usual spot. Was Ben dry? Almost…one soggy hand/arm due to a new leak in a dry glove!
