Bare Island April ’25

Waves Shape

With the Santo trip looming five SSAC divers decided to head to Bare Island for a pre-easter shakeout shore dive. Unfortunately, it appeared every other diver in Sydney was also at Bare Island for the high tide. Not to worry, Steve W with his new shearwater computer and digital compass was ready to expertly lead the group over the back of the island to the deep wall for a look around out of range of the masses.

The divers enjoyed a 50min dive with the usual underwater suspects around to keep us occupied. The highlight of the dive definitely having Pete dust off the twinset and join us back in the water.

As always, no Bare Island dive is complete without big breakfasts and coffee from the Boat House which was enjoyed by all.

Another great Sydney shore dive done…
