It was a lovely day for a classic Bare Island dive and the early bird got the parking spot. While there was a throng of divers kitting up, it was pleasantly calm and relaxed underwater (or maybe they were hiding in the patch vis). As Sam put it “Marine life highlights included a large blue groper, giant cuttlefish, wobbegong and octopus”.
Everyone made the 1 hr dive time and when we surfaced the Southerly change had come through, so a stiff breeze was blowing. We quickly retreated to the shelter of The Boatshed for coffees, bacon & egg rolls and pancakes topped with what looked like loft insulation!
