This year the Christmas party was on Shark Island. Soo and Fe formed the advanced party and they set up base camp in the gazebo. Most of us came over on the 10:50 ferry and before long we were tucking in to a fine array of food. The Island is in Rose Bay, so the afternoon was spent idly watching the passing yachts go by, a round or two of boules, a dip in the sea or exploring the island’s foreshore and grottos, which were hand built in the early 1900s. A cleansing ale at the Fourtune of War rounded off a perfect afternoon.
