Saturday’s dive can be summed up by one attendee’s quote:

“That’s the best dive ive ever had at Shelly Beach”

Perfect sunshine and an abundance of parking set the scene for a glorious spring dive at Shelly. With HMS and SW being led through a buoyancy and trim workshop, and subsequent test, by Professor Garvey the group was split into 2 to allow ST and Pete to surface swim a little way out to the point meaning they could get round the backside and explore amongst the boulders finding loads of Port Jacksons, a cuttlefish, and many other usual suspects lurking around. After some buoyancy work and trim adjustment SW, HMS, and Andy cut high over the reef onto the backside to have a look around as well bumping into the same critters.

Coffee and BE rolls at The Boathouse with Fe and SSAC’s newest mascot, “Fred The Pug”, rounding out the morning.

Saturday mornings don’t get much better than that! See you on the next one!
