Where do you go when the taste of summer has suddenly switched to feeling like the depths of winter with a howling southerly? Shiprock of course! The two Steves, Ben and Hartly, all rocked up for a relaxing Sunday morning dive. The vis was above par for the site. The stonefish, cuttlefish, eels and the usual local marine life were all out in force as we worked our way along the wall until the tide turned and it was time to drift back to the start.
The forecast rain started with light drizzle as we were de-kitting, so it was quickly off to Vitalo for the obligatory brunch. By the time we left, it was lashed down, but at least we’d made the best of the day.
