Seven divers, four non-divers and three dogs all braved the Australia day traffic for the five-hour drive up to South West Rocks. Was it worth it? If you like your sharks, caves, sleepy beach towns and just getting out of Sydney, oh yes it was worth it!
As Steve put it “The highlight definitely had to be getting up close with a few decent-sized
Grey Nurse Sharks! A close second would have to be the two-way drift dive with
Andy and Al, hard work into the current but a very fun new dive experience for me. Overall, a very well-organized and fantastic weekend of diving”.
We dived with South West Rocks Dive Centre, with four of us staying in the onsite accommodation and the others in a house just around the corner.
