Three SSAC divers met at The Leap car park in Kurnell on Sunday morning to do the drift dive from The Leap to The Steps. Unlike the previous occasion we dived this site (two weeks earlier) we encountered no other divers getting in at The Leap, although the car park at The Steps was full of divers.

Generally the viz was pretty poor and the water temperature had dropped to around 18C, but we still had a great dive drifting with the incoming tide past the dramatic scenery and wonderful sponge gardens. As the gallery of Ben’s photos shows, the fish life returned with a vengeance and at one point we were surrounded by so many Yellowtail it made it hard to see past them!
Post-dive coffee and food was at the Milkhouse, now a regular haunt of SSAC divers. Another great SSAC shore dive!
