Seven divers turned up for a much-anticipated attempt to dive Voodoo. Unfortunately, the seas weren’t quite calm enough, so we switched to the backup site of The Steps instead. You know it’s summer when the drysuits are out and wetsuits are becoming trendy again! We enjoyed a relaxed 60-minute dive, maxing out at around 15 m. Water temperatures are on the way up at 19 °C, and visibility was an acceptable 5-8 m.
We headed right toward The Leap to explore the attractive reefs just east of The Steps. The usual highlights were on show, including the occasional Weedy Sea Dragon and an Octopus tucked firmly into its hole, clearly hoping we wouldn’t notice it. Fish life, however, was surprisingly sparse this time around.

As always, the dive wrapped up with post-dive coffee and munchies at Milkhouse – a perfect end to a great day’s diving!
